Hi. My name is Alex Adams director and principal rider of Rolling Thunder Tours Ltd which is registered at Companies house Edinburgh . But enough of all that ,my friends call me "Trapper" after the tv character grizzly Adams (it's a long story.)

 My first riding experience started when I was 15 getting to sit pillion on my uncle's scooter ( I was hooked) be warned.  I then got to drive another uncle's BSA Bantam around the local fields when I was 16 now there was no going back. I placed an order for a brand new Honda CB125 & collected it on my 17th birthday. Well it took me all round Scotland as far as Dunnet Head on an "L" plate passing my test a month later (1974) this was the open road & freedom for a young engineering apprentice in a factory.

The bikes I owned gradually got bigger & faster as I gained age & experience 125cc -1450cc. A mixture of sports bikes & large tourers,  but joining local clubs over the years like www.centralmotorcycleclub.com & having friends who are mad on bikes never left me short of weekend runs. Of course they were also my daily transport to work for most of the year as well (you have to justify the expense). 

I had a 4 year period in the mid 80's when I didn't own a bike. That was when I used to race a Formula Ford 1600 on the Scottish Hillclimb & Sprint circuits, never won anything but had a great time mixing with great people ( you find that about petrolheads & bikers, they always rally round to help when you need it).

I always thought there was a demand for pillion rides as presents, as not everyone has a bike at their disposal or a willing friend with the correct bike. I decided that it was ideal to be run from Central Scotland.  30mls to Edinburgh & Glasgow, 10mls to Stirling then the Trossachs, 4mls to the Falkirk wheel then Carron valley, oh! and of course the Forth bridges.

The scenery in Scotland is astounding & what better way to fully experience it, than from a motorbike.
